Expert Shoulder Care by Dr. Samuel Koo

Dr. Samuel Koo, MD, MPH is a board-certified surgeon specializing in minimally invasive arthroscopic shoulder surgery for patients throughout Seattle, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, and the surrounding areas. Your shoulder is needed in just about all performances of the arm. Shoulder pain can limit even the most simple tasks for patients. It can prevent you from being able to scratch your back, wave to a friend or lift your arm in any upward motion. Disregarding these aches and pains will only lead to prolonged problems or new shoulder injuries within the bone structure or soft tissue.

All pain, even temporary, should not be brushed aside. Dr. Koo is here for patients that want to make sure their shoulder maintains full strength, mobility and comfort. Dr. Samuel Koo has been awarded the “Top Doctor” award for both Seattle Met and Seattle Magazine.

Information for Out-of-Town Patients

Many of Dr. Koo’s patients come from outside of the Seattle area. Home to endless museums, breathtaking architecture and high-end restaurants, along with big companies like Amazon and Microsoft, Seattle has plenty to offer locals and tourists alike. It is also a great place to provide and receive medical care. Dr. Koo loves everything about Seattle and would not want to practice surgery anywhere else.

Our practice is well-equipped to receive new patients. We welcome out-of-town patients from all over the United States, Canada, and many other foreign countries. We assist our patients in finding feasible financial solutions, and we work with most major insurance plans. Patients who pay in cash will also receive a special discount. We accept out-of-network patients, but they may have an additional cost.

Many of our out-of-town patients contact us in advance to see if we are a good fit for their needs, and we highly recommend doing so. To start this process, please give us a call at (425) 823-4000 or request an appointment online.

After reviewing your information, Dr. Koo will contact you. If it seems you are a good fit, we can make arrangements for you to come to Seattle for surgery. We see all patients in the office in advance, but in most instances, this visit can be on the same trip to Seattle.
